Who are we and what do we even do?

The Fachschaft Anglistik represents the students of the Institute of English Philology at the institute and university, accompanying and supporting students throughout their entire course of studies, and shaping life at the institute through numerous celebrations and events.

All enrolled students of a specific field formally constitute a Fachschaft. The term Fachschaft refers to a team of English Studies students that regularly meets and actively addresses student and university matters. The Fachschaft is newly elected every year during university elections, but even non-elected members can be involved in the Fachschaft. Participation is voluntary, and any student of English Studies can join.

We need you! The more, the merrier:

The larger the membership of the Fachschaft, the better it can represent the interests of the students, and the less work there is for individuals. We thrive on the interest and commitment of the students. So, don't hesitate – the Fachschaft Anglistik is waiting for your ideas and projects!

Even if active participation seems too demanding, there are ways to support the Fachschaft: for example, by participating in university elections, assisting with specific events, or providing feedback on your studies and our work.
